Just after subscribing to the desired channels, you get automatically the new programs/episodes downloaded on you computer, and you can watch them offline.

I'am a little curious whether it's legal in my country, especially because of the mentioned bittorrent-videos.

    just my 2 cents

It's a nice idea, but you have to wait for the videos to download completely before you can start watching them.

In this regard, using youtube directly is more confortable than using it from Miro. And for torrents I prefer to use my torrent download manager and then watch the videos in my video player of choice. I've not found good use for Miro.

The best way to download and watch InternetTV: tons of channels, podcasts, youtube and bittorrent. It's the best invention of the last 5y!

I've been using this application, as well as my kids, for getting video casts for a few years now. It is very easy to use and comes with a great interface for finding and adding new feeds.

  7. maxolasersquad Says:

@brain extender: Yes, it should be legal anywhere. The interface links you to feeds of all sorts of legal video casts. If you manually enter a bittorrent download for an illegal download, then yes that is illegal, just as using Firefox to download copyrighted music you haven't purchased is illegal, but that doesn't make Firefox itself an illegal product.

Miro is no doubt the best peer to peer application for HD videos. Here's my post about the same
