Like GoogleTALK gadget (it *is* actually GoogleTALK gadget), you cannot use it to voice or video chat with someone.
But it still works quite well, and the interface is clean.

I installed the program without problem and I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala), just had to try twice.

I'm not able to install the softwares yet. Please tell me anyone the solution how to install the softwares. It is asking me to choose a application to install the required software. It is giving me 'aptur'" but it is not installing!

Can any know how to configure gtalk in ubuntu 9.10 version?

You can configure pidgin to use GTalk in ubuntu. When adding your gmail account use:
Protocol: XMPP
Username:
Domain: gmail.com
Password:
Check "Remember password" and goto "Advanced" tab
Uncheck Require SSL/TLS
Check Force old
Connect port: 443
Connect server: talk.google.com
if you are behind a proxy then enter the details in "Proxy" tab.

Is Gtalk runing fine in Linux KDuXP,but firefox update then this brocken and dont open more....this is a error from prism lost of update firefox......but work fine ......
