Thanks for the easy install QCad... it downloaded with ease. I'm a retired Design Engineer and have hear good reports of QCad. I previously have used AutoCAD that I can not afford to buy anymore. I hope this will compensate. I have not forgotten but I guess I'm going to have to learn QCad. As far as I can see first use it's very very similar.
Thanks again... All other ways of setting this App up have failed for me as I'm not a geek on Linux Ubuntu.
I would recommend an other newby to Ubuntu who wants to draw to use this down load from this site.
